July Update

The mysterious heavies should no longer be base camping players. The heavies in the treasure box event should also have kits again. It was set so there would be more NPCs on the server. They would stay until killed. Not just poof when the event was over. Why they would respawn at a set point every day. No idea. And no idea how I would prove it to the dev. But we have enough NPCs on the server anyway. In other news. There’s a test server running. I have it set so the admins and supporters have access. At least if things are working right anyway. There’s a cap of 10 players at a time. But I don’t think there will be more than that at any give time. Even at peak hours. There’s a lot I need to have tested to see if anything is broken or just too much. So if you can’t log on let me know and I’ll recheck the permissions. I’m leaving this restricted to the supporters for now. It will just be a lot easier on me with this in place since the player list/groups have been moved and I just grant the supporter group access. In theory. Didn’t work last time. But I think I got it right this round. I’m seeing in chat that players are upset that that they can’t raid because their teammates are raiding. There’s a reason for this. They’re your teammate/friend. You raid with them. You leave other bases open for other players to raid. Sure. You can say it’s a tiny little server with a shit population. But there have been times when all bases are active. And this is in place so a team can’t monopolize the raids when that happens. This month will have some changes to the Bradley. It may or may not stay. We’ll see what happens. There are going to be 3 tiers. Each harder than the other. Each will drop more crates. And each will reward more RP, This may be too OP of a change. But that will have to be shown over time. And will be dealt with accordingly. The building planner and hammer for slots 7 and 8 are going to be pulled. They are preventing the server from getting newer plugins. And none of the devs are willing to even listen to my or any other users requests to adapter their plugins to ignore slots 7 and 8. It’s not too huge of a deal really. And I’m sure a majority of the server isn’t aware of them. And no. If you say “Well I didn’t know but now I want to use it.” Isn’t going to change anything. While it is permission based. The dev who wrote is knows that it applies universal. And has not done anything to fix is. And has known since the week it came out. So I can’t just apply it to single users. Sorry. It’s gone. In it’s place there will be hotbars. You can access them in the TAB menu. Just press the icon to the right of the belt and press the green plus in the UI that appears above your inventory to create a new hotbar. It will copy from your belt. It will not copy things like resources and such. Default users get 2. Supporters get 5. There is also be a new event coming that was prevented because of the 7 and 8 slot plugin. This needs more testing though but should be in this wipe.
