A brief history
This is a screenshot of the build that inspired me to start a server (Created on Vanilla server "Holly HIll" R.I.P.). It’s not the most amazing build. But I really liked doing it. I didn’t know about creative/sandbox servers at the time and figured I could build arenas and fight random people who signed on…

If you spend a lot of time on a dead server you can craft a ton of weapons. And my server was usually dead. But I didn’t think things through with the whole, “How do I make sure people have gear and not just wreck me and take off?” thing. I can’t just hand them a gun and say “Okay. Now you go over there and wait till I count to three.” Doesn’t really work that way. Most certainly not in Rust. So I started searching for options.

In the past I had played on a few modded servers. It was an experience for sure. Hit a node. Get 10k sulfur. Whack a barrel. Get some bullets, a bottle of bleach and an AK. Type /airdrop and it calls an instant airdrop. Teleporting. All fun. But it takes all the challenge out of the game. It’s like being a few steps below admin. Just missing god mode.

In June of 2017 I started a Vanilla server. But with what I wanted to do, it looked like I needed to use plugins. So I broke down and installed Oxide and haven’t looked back. Over time I've found ways to balance the OP effects of the plugins and add more challenges to the server. Some are a little too challenging and I haven't added them yet. But we'll see if they make their way into the game or not.

With that said. I'm still missing the arenas I've built and saved over time from my past servers. I have to purchase an arena manager plugin. There are free options. But you get what you pay for. I hope to have this soon. Once I have this up and running I feel my server'll be one step closer to complete.
About the Name
I’m obsessed with RUST. I’m also obsessed with SEGA.
So I named my server after my favorite

If you like things old school. And you like them to run well. I highly recommend it.
