Add folder to Rust directory

Steam>steamapps>common>Rust

Create new folder>instruments

Add .mid files to the instruments folder

Make sure the tracks are monophonic

If the file is playing more than one track at a time it will sound like garbage. You might be able to get away with it if you are using a piano.

Download your .mid files from the web.

Just search for midi files and go from there.

Most of the first pages you get will give you what you need.

When you download the file you need to remove all spaces from the file name or they won't work when entered into the F1 command line.

Playing The File

Just put the instrument in your hand or sit down and press F1 and make sure you're in the CONSOLE tab.

Then you enter this command followed by the .mid file name and press enter.
instruments.playrecording
So something like

instruments.playrecording that_song.mid

And that's it.

The music starts playing.

Nothing else you need to do.
To stop, just stop using the instrument.
